Vintage and Valor Over Vegas  Scale Event Results

You do not have to be a member of LVRC Flyers to fly at Bennett Field, but we would love to have you in the club...join online here. Please support the club as Clark County will only keep the field open as long as the club exists and continues to provide education and guidance about safe model aircraft operations at Bennett Field.

The FAA requires flyers to complete the FAA TRUST Test.
The FAA requires flyers to register their model aircraft (drone) with the FAA and display their FAA# on each of their model aircraft. To register with the FAA, visit FAA DroneZone. Please complete the FAA TRUST Test first.
The FAA also requires Bennett Filed flyers to register their FAA# at Register To Fly Bennett Field. You need to register with the FAA first.
Bennett Field is a FRIA site and you do not need a Remote ID module in your model aircraft (drone) to fly at this site.

LVRC has established an official Letter of Agreement (LOA) with the FAA. The LOA allows Bennett pilots to fly up to 1000 feet AGL (above ground level) with no changes and up to 2000 AGL (with a few stipulations.)

1.    AMA Membership - All pilots must possess a current AMA membership card . All pilots must produce their AMA card and/or Turbine waiver upon request.
2.    Safe Flying - All flying must operate within the designated Bennett Field Operational Area. Aircraft may not be operated within 25 feet of any individual except for pilot, pilot’s helper and during take-off and landing. 3D flying or hovering must not obstruct other flying traffic over or near the paved runway when other pilots are flying. Park Flyer planes may fly in the designated area on the Southwest side of the field when not being used by control line fliers. The use of a spotter is recommended. Pilots are required
to follow “See and Avoid” procedures.
3.    Established Safe flying Areas - All flying must occur within established safety lines, yellow deadline and fences. Flying behind the yellow deadline is prohibited. Grass areas directly in front of the picnic shelters extending to the Runway, and behind the pilot boxes are no-fly areas.
