1st Annual LVRC Lake Mead Float Fly
The National Park Service has granted the LVRC Flyers a permit to hold an AMA sanctioned Float Fly event at Boulder Harbor on Lake Mead. This may be the first time in many years that such an event is being held in a National Recreation Area. The harbor is officially closed due to the low water in the lake and is a perfect place for this event.
Participation is limited by permit to 30 pilots at this time, so pre-registration is required. Seats permitting, we may be able to take some last minute entries at the event. Cost is $20 per pilot to cover permit and sanction fees. T-Shirts are being planned and will be available at the event for an additional $20.00. They are Gildan 50/50 in grey with the event design (see attached).
A valid AMA card must be presented at the registration table on the day of the event.
CD for the event is Barry Mattison, AMA District X AVP. Event Manager is Randy Dorn.
